Key Responsibilities:

This person will support Buongiorno Software Release team to design and develop the infrastructure necessary to deploy all the application components of Buongiorno platform. Leveraging as much as possible of the current Buongiorno architecture, this person will assist teams in roll-outs of new deployment process, assisting teams in regression, load, and soak testing applications, as well as troubleshooting and support of production services.

This person will work on the improvement of already existing deployment process and tools used by development teams to maintain application platform including the source code control system, Maven artifacts repository and web-based deployment tool.

This person will develop as well new tools to automate processes such as deployment to staging and production, as well as roll-backs, back-ups, etc.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Experience managing Apache, Tomcat, JBoss or another servlet container, and a general knowledge of HTTP
• Experience of the deployment of complex Java-based platforms and tools using automated processes (Hudson, QuickBuild 2, CruiseControl)
• Good knowledge of Maven 2 project management tool and other similar tools to manage project`s build and deployment
• Basic knowledge of the Java programming language
• Experience administering Red Hat/Fedora Core, DNS, E-mail
• Experience managing CVS, SVN
• Strong understanding of Internet services and principles
• Experience in setup and maintenance of high availability, high reliability, and scalable systems
• Experience in deployment and maintenance of internationalized applications
• Experience with shell scripting (bash script, perl)
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to an ever evolving network/system
• Ability to manage projects through their entire life cycle
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to create service and process documentation
